The Human Resources (HR) Director is part of the country management team and leads the HR team, responsible for developing and implementing both strategic and operational human resources management to support the Country General Manager as a trusted business partner. This role leads and nurtures a sizable HR team, comprises of business partners, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, talent management, learning and development, compliance, diversity and inclusion related specialists.
This person is expected to proactively,
Establish and maintain a strategic vision for the HR function in the country.
Effectively communicate the HR strategy and its alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values. Promote a positive, inclusive culture that enhances employee engagement and well-being.
Drive ambitious talent management strategies focused on attracting, retaining, and developing talent.
Ensure robust control systems and processes are in place to comply with all relevant labour ordinance and regulations, while staying current with HR best practices.
Act as a genuine business partner to various functions and operations, addressing organizational challenges and supporting business goals through close collaboration to understand strategic objectives and develop effective HR solutions.
Successful candidates should possess,
Bachelor's degree in reputable university
Over 15 years’ experience leading sizable and matrix HR team within international companies, within the service industry.
Strategic and hands-on, with proven experience in driving organizational change, digital transformation and process efficiency.
Possess excellent interpersonal skills, along with the ability to partner with senior business leaders and diverse stakeholders to managing complex people issues and achieving stretching business targets.
Demonstrate business acumen to drive organisational and people-related strategies and initiatives.
Well verse in latest knowledge of Hong Kong labour ordinance and HR best practices.
Professional communication in both English and Cantonese.
